PLEASANT RIDGE WILDLIFE AREA

Description

The Pleasant Ridge Wildlife Area sits roughly 5 miles west of Millville, and four miles east of North Buena Vista bordered on the north by highway C9Y and on the east by Pleasant Avenue. The area includes approximately 78 acres with a ~2 acre private inholding (see map).

 

The area has no formally developed amenities, but is open for hunting and trapping during designated seasons for the State of Iowa. The terrain includes a grassland with scattered apple trees, and large expanses of mature oak-hickory and maple-basswood forest.

HUNTING

In season hunting, with proper licenses. 

The Welcome Center/Osborne Nature Center is open
Mon-Sat. 8:00 AM-4:00 PM & Sun. Noon - 4:00 PM
