2024 Pony Hollow Trail Count Volunteering

Clayton County Conservation is looking for volunteers to help with the 2024 Pony Hollow Trail Count on Friday July 12th & Saturday July 13th. Volunteers are asked to fill a 2 hour shift near the south trailhead (across Highway 13 from South High St. in Elkader). Once you park your vehicle you will need to walk on Pony Hollow Trail along the Turkey River to get to the trail counting station.

Volunteers will record the number & type of trail users they see during their 2 hour shift. Tally sheets and writing materials will be at the trail count station when you arrive. One chair will be provided, bring an extra if you decide to bring a friend to join you!
